A Bit About Me
Gehan is a Multi-Modal Machine Learning Intern who is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Computer Science at the University of California at San Diego (UCSD). He has been working as a Graduate Student Researcher at the Translational Neuroengineering Lab (TNEL) at UCSD. At TNEL, Gehan works on a speech prosthesis project based on birdsong animal models. His work majorly focused on designing a multimodal system to predict future vocalization behavior of birdsongs based on current neural activity, pose, and previous vocalization behavior. His other research interests are Generative models, data-efficient neural networks, 3D Vision, and Virtual Reality. Gehan is also a football player and an avid Real Madrid fan. When he is not working/studying he loves to go hiking or surfing on the beach.
